Transformational Teaching Through Storytelling

Are you a storyteller? Well, whether you are or not, this workshop will teach you how to use life experiences in a new way of storytelling. "Transformational Teaching Through Storytelling," is comprised of compelling stories and practical tips that will illustrate how stories can bring to life the history lessons you want to communicate to your students. Be it soft skills, hard skills, or social studies any subject can be greatly improved with a story. EVENT FLYER          

Upon completion of this session, attendees will be able to:

  • Explain why storytelling leaves a lasting impact.
  • Identify the key components of an effective story.
  • Present a compelling story before an audience.

About the Speakers 


Michael Holoman and Gerard Droze co-founded The Board of Directors, LLC in 2010 in effort to nurture and develop manhood throughout society via mentorship and personal accountability. They’ve co-authored two books: The Makings of a Man and The Makings of a Dream, and have expanded their focus to include both professional and personal development.

Michael and Gerard have served as guest speakers, workshop presenters, and panelists at several events such as the African American Male National Conference, the SC Fatherhood & Male Achievement Conference, and the African American Male Leadership Institute Annual Banquet.

  • Parking available in the garage & surface lot behind the building with entrance off of Bull Street. In the garage, park on the 2nd floor and higher. Enter the building from the rear, through the 1st floor of the garage.
